 HAPPY HOLIDAZE HOTTIES!

hows the eggnog? hows the pasta? staying warm?
we're trying our best over here at Gnarnia but wow, it's been a cold one. some of us were down in the San Francisco and San Rafael the past few weeks working on The Memories album for Burger Records coming out next year and it wasn't exactly warm either, but it sure was beautiful and fun. we had a great time doing dabs in San Francisco with good friends and going out to the many great bars they have there. almost lost a shoe in a tree; not this time thanks to Colin! thanks dawg :-)

anyway, it's good to be back at Gnarnia with our friends and 2Buff (who spends most of his time upstairs in Izak's bed sleeping under a blanket) and it's good to be back in the shop making magic and attending to your mail needs. seriously very sorry for any mail delays. they should happily be at your door before the holidays are over.

speaking of holidays, why not get a friend or family member the ultimate gift?
got a parent who might enjoy the sweet and playful sounds of The Memories?

The Memories are spending Thanksgiving (the American food holiday) in San Francisco, California and will be playing the release party for I Need You Bad, the new garage pop compilation on Polyvinyl Records, curated by none other than Sonny Smith (of Sonny & The Sunsets) who is also producing a new LP for The Memories which they are recording next week in San Francisco, California!

The release party for I Need You Bad is this Friday (November 29th, 2013) at The Chapel in SF !
with Little Wings, Chris Cohen, Fronds, and DJ sets by Sonny Smith

HELLO AGAIN GNARTARDS!!!

First off thanks for all the friends and fans we got to kick it with on tour. Y'all made it the best tour we've ever done (so far ;-)) and that means everything to us! That's why we do this! We'll be seeing you again VERY soon ;-)

We have two (2) GNEW GNAR TAPES coming out next week and we couldn't be happier! Gnar Burger returns with one more release for 2013 and it's one of the best albums of the year, destined to be a classic forever. The 134th cassette by Gnar Tapes, and 16th co-release with our best friends Burger Records, is the highly anticipated sophomore album by Gap Dream; the dream pop glam synth masterpiece Shine Your Light !!!

Our final cassette release of November 2013 is a surprise co-release with the rare and righteous Rad Records, a sister label of Marriage Records, headed by none other than the rare and righteous rambler Kyle Field (aka Little Wings!!!!!!!!) !!! It is also Gnar Tapes 135th cassette and 8th cassette by everyone's favorite weed-rolling tumbleweeds... The Memories! The little magic moment that is Ripple is the most heartfelt and atmospheric chapter in their story so far; five (5) folk-inflected acoustic guitar driven heartbreak highway songs, with even more Americana pop sprinkles than ever before. Wistful, breezy, and haunting, this is The Memories most straight-faced and emotionally honest collection of songs to date. A small ripple in the big pond that is The Memories' emotional wellspring. Awwww.
