Turkey Day

Hi!

Just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful (American) holiday weekend. We'll be eating all kinds of shit.

A quick few words: our compilation "Modern Gnart" is ready for purchase on the shop page. Hope you love them! Also White Fang has a new 7" on Marriage Records that you can order from them (www.marriagerecs.com) or from the band at one of their upcoming shows (www.whtfng.com) in Portland this month. They also have some new shirts too! Both of those will be available on the White Fang site next month. They're new LP is on the way from Marriage also. More on that in a few weeks.

Some new tapes on the way before the year is over from White Rainbow, Jib Kidder, The Memories, Ghost Mom, maybe more. Waiting on the music from Timmy the Terror and the Winter Coats, but those guys are scattered and probably won't have their album out until January probably.

That's all I can think of for now. Have a good weekend!

white fang tour day 4: Tucson, AZ

Hello everyone! I'm typing this on my phone in our room at the hotel congress in sunny tucson, arizona. This is day 4 of our wild weeklong tour with the thermals. Tonight we're playing downstairs at club congress. Isn't that nice?

I just wanted to tell you about a few things. Our band White Fang has a new 7" called "Younger" on the ever wonderful Marriage Records. It was recorded by Adam Forkner of White Rainbow at the one and only Marriage studio in rainy southeast Portland's industrial district.

Also we'll have copies of our new LP "Grateful to Shred" really soon too which you'll be able to order from Marriage or purchase from one of the many lovely record and tape shops around Portland.

Tomorrow we play in San Diego at a bar called the Casbah.

Ok love!

Ps there's a whole bunch of rad live videos of gnar and non-gnar bands at indierocksucks.blogspot.com if you are trying to get deeper.

Modern Gnart / White Fang On Tour

Just wanted to let Portland people know that the Fall 2010 Gnar Tapes Compilation, hereby referred to as Modern Gnart, is available at various record and tape shops around town. It was included as a party favor, along with a t-shirt and drink tickets, at our Halloween themed showcase, Night of the Living Shred, last month. It features 17 bands (one of which didn't want to be included, as it turns out) that may or may not have, or ever will, put out a Gnar Tape. All of these songs up until this point have not been released and some may never leave this tape. This tape features more on pop and rock based material from French Dad, White Fang, BOOM!, The Memories, Timmy the Terror and the Winter Coats, The Mean Jeans, Shapes, Guantanamo Baywatch, Unkle Funkle, Erik Gage, The Woolen Men, Ghost Mom, Scavenger Cunt, Burning Yellows, Colleen Green, and White Rainbow.

Right now it's only available in Portland and on tour with White Fang next week.

HIGH TIMES

DUDES! Thanks to everyone who made NIGHT OF THE LIVING SHRED one of the best parties ever thrown. Hundreds of people came and everyone got wasted. All the bands played shredfully and the Legendary Juice Team DJs killed it with gusto. Let's do it again real soon!

But for now let's talk about another Gnar Tapes related show coming up this weekend at our favorite all ages venue The Artistery. Our friends from Denver, CO have a rad band called Woodsman and they're coming to town on the 6th. Our very own Timmy the Terror and the Winter Coats will also provide their trademark sonic freakout sideshow performance to the night, alongside Gauntlet Hair who I've heard is also sick.

Cool see ya there!
